MOTO g 5G #mostaffordable5G

Let's take a look at the pricing first because that an important segment for this.

Moto g 5G ( 6GB+128GB ) is priced at 20,999/-

If you have a hdfc bank credit card then you will get a flat 1000 off. So the effective pricing of this phone is under 20k.

Also one more important thing, this is the first phone to feature Qualcomm snapdragon 750G ( latest 5G chipset ). This is also an 8-core processor which is actually faster than snapdragon 765G in terms of CPU.

One more very very important thing is that in near future we are going to see cheaper 5G phones, but it doesn't end there. We have to check how many 5G bands are actually supported by the phone.

Most of the cheaper 5G phones are currently supporting only 1 or 2 5G bands, but this is actually different.

This phone has all the 11 5G bands. This obviously means that you are going to get a blazingly fast 5G speed along with that you will also see some major upgrade in the 4G speed and not only that you will also be receiving better wi-fi speed, just because of the 11 antenna bands present in it.

So let's quickly take a look at the box contents.

  • The handset itself ( with a pre-applied back cover to it. )
  • Some basic documentation.
  • A 20W fast charger.
  • A type-A to a type-C charging cable.

Now let's talk about the phone.

The build quality of this moto g 5G is quite promising, though the back is made up of plastic and rest everything plastic but the quality of plastic used is pretty decent.

There is a hybrid SIM slot ( 1 SIM + 1 SD card ). You can expand the storage up to 1TB.

Let's talk about specifications first:

  •  It comes with a 6.67" FHD+ LCD display which is HDR10+ certified.
  • As I told you it comes on the latest snapdragon 750G.
  • It comes with a triple camera setup. 48mp (primary)  + 8mp (ultawide) + 2mp (macro).
  • The front camera is 16mp (center punch hole ).
  • The battery capacity is 5000mAh with 20W fast charging.
  • Lastly, it has NFC supported and a rear fingerprint scanner.
As always, The moto g 5G also comes with a stock android.

This is a very good thing of Motorola as it always gives stock android in their phones, this takes the user experience to next level.

Also, there is an FM radio on this device

Now if you are someone like me who does like stock android because of it's clean UI, but at the same time hates it because of minimal customizations then don't get disappointed, Motorola has made sure that you are able to customize your phone according to your preferences.
There is an application of Motorola called MyMoto where you can customize your phone as you want.
Also, there are some of the best gestures given by Motorola in their phones, like shake for opening the camera or chop twice to turn ON flashlight and many more gestures like that.

Out of the box it's running on android 10 but Motorola has promised that it will receive android as well as security updates for 2 years.

There is a traditional fingerprint scanner present at the backside and it works fast.
The face unlock is also equally fast.

So now let's talk about its camera.
The camera on paper obviously looks like a downgrade of this phone considering the price tag it carries along.
But I don't know how the Motorola team has worked on it, the picture comes out to be very well.
I mean like color production, skin tone management, background management, and everything is done so-so well.
A special mention, the macro camera is just 2mp but can click really close photos.

As this phone is powered by the new snapdragon 750G which is a really capable processor, you can play heavy games like call of duty or the upcoming PUBG mobile India on high settings without any frame drop.

If this phone had an AMOLED display then it would be a complete package.
But without it also its screen is really really nice as it comes with HDR10+ certification.

Hence, I can easily recommend this.

The first sale of this phone is going to be on Flipkart on the 7th of December.
