Hackers Demand $50 Million From Apple | Quanta Data Leak

Undoubtedly 'THE' most secure company 'Apple', is currently facing some major security issues. Some serious allegations are made by a hacking group from Russia, that they have Apple's super confidential data.

Russian hacking is claiming that they have obtained the schematics of all unreleased products by Apple.

As proof, the hacking group also published the pictures of the now released iMacs (the slimmer, and most beautifully designed ones) on the dark web hours before they were launched.

In the same way, they are claiming to have all the designs, pictures, etc. of all the unreleased Apple products of this year. Like the next-gen MacBooks, iPhones, etc.

The hacking group has now contacted Apple and is demanding $50 Million, otherwise, they will leak all of their designs that they have with them.

According to some reports, the hackers got this information through a third-party MacBook manufacturer company 'Quanta'. This Taiwan-based manufacturer has also confirmed the data leak.

At first, the group tried to extort Quanta for the stolen confidential information. But the manufacturer refused to pay. After which, the hacking group went after Quanta’s largest client, Apple, leaking confidential images of Apple products that are yet to hit markets.

The hackers are asking Apple and Quanta, either of them, to pay them $50 Million, before May 1, otherwise, they are going to leak the images on the dark web.

Quanta Computer is one of the leading third-party manufacturers of consumer electronic devices. The company’s clientele includes brands like HP, Dell, Microsoft, Toshiba, LG, Lenovo, among others. The hacking group claims that the company is having possession of data from other companies as well.
